Something cool happened today in class that I'm sharing with you.

It is "free writing".
It is called so because you write whatever comes to your mind without deleting or editing or exempting. Everything- even if it is 'I don't know what to say I don't know what to say I don't know what to say...' is typed or written as fast as possible and for as long as you feel like {I went for 2 minutes. about}.
The surprising thing about this is it makes you incredibly honest with yourself. It digs into our subconscious to tell us a bit about how we conceive thought.
It is cool because sometimes you surprise yourself. When given the freedom to say whatever comes to your mind a transfer of power happens. Ready?

The prompt is "I communicate..."

[Go.]

This is mine:

I communicate... fear and I guess angst I 'm not a unhappy person I just feel broken like a broken toy too much use has rendered me helpless and for a while I lost who I was so I didn't communicate I drifted in an open sea of nothingness and whoever took me places took me places so I'm like a white on white still life I reflected the colors of those around me and not what was under that damned white paint. I think I was conditioned at some point by my mom telling me to make everyone happy that everyone deserves to be happy in life and that I should help them get there... the thing is that she forgot to tell me to be happy.

[a bit choppy, loose and run-on heavy- but that is the beauty of it.]

I'd like to make a few group project journals (where people respond in the comments with their responses) but I'm scared that it might be asking something too personal for people to complete and share their free writing- I'd love to see other peoples' responses though so if it pleases. Do post it :]

Hello, Net!

I was delighted to read your thoughtful comments. Yes, Dave Cooper definitely had a strong influence on me. I'll have to look for his stuff next time I'm at the library (meaning today, and everyday). I like your work the best at its darkest -- I think your style suits macabre subject matter. Also, I noticed you're keen when it comes to communicating your ideas and processes. I appreciate your insights.

Congratulations. I bow to you."

"But these impulses may be from below, not above."[said the elder and] I replied, " They do not seem to me to be such; but if I am the Devil's child, I will live from the Devil." No law can be sacred to me but that of my own nature.
